RTF To HTML Converter transforms your MS Rich Text Format files into web pages for free. You can preview the conversion output, compare it with the original file, and even edit the HTML code before saving the converted text. The program also allows you to easily copy all the HTML code into other applications via your clipboard.
This tool offers a simple interface that automatically performs the conversion process when you load an RTF file. In a few seconds, you are presented with three different versions of the same document – the original RTF file, a preview of what the document will look like in your browser, and the HTML code produced in the conversion process. Both the original RTF text and the HTML code allow editing, though the changes performed in the RTF have no immediate effect on the resulting code (you will need to open the original document, save the necessary changes, and load the RTF file into the converter again). However, users with sufficient knowledge of HTML tagging have the possibility of editing the code before saving the web file, though these changes will only be visible once the final HTML document is opened in a web browser.
This useful and simple program has also its limitations. It works perfectly with plain text, tables, and with any RTF document with a simple layout. Images, and other graphic and multimedia elements, however, are not supported. In most cases they are simply ignored, but they may also cause some coding problems, resulting in a faulty conversion of the whole document.
